Hi,

Absolute D1,D2 maximum rating is 6V.
However,Braak-down voltage is prescribed (7V).
Please tell me the reason.
And Is D1,D2 maximum rating =6V expression mistaken?

Hi Yusuke-san,

For the ratings you are seeing, the 6V max is listed for the signal voltage not affected by the ESD protection diode. These are going to be your typical I/O signal voltage levels (3.3V, 5V, etc.). Once the voltage reaches a minimum of 7V, from the ESD protection table, the diode will begin to enter the breakdown region of the diode, driving the current of the signal line to GND.

Essentially, you want to ensure that the I/O signals of your system do not go over this 6V or you will see the ESD protection device disrupt the signal.
