Attached is a block diagram of the connection. Power supply is 5 V.
1. We found out that the circuit as show in the attached block diagram did not work at all. The reason is that Vol max of the Sx/Sy side of the P82B96DR is 1.0 V whereas the min value of the Vilt1 is equal to 0.5 V on the ISO1541 Side 1 inputs SDA1 and SCL1.
2. My questions are:
a) Can I replace the P82B96DR chip with a P82B715 in the same configuration so that it works correctly?
b) Is there any other buffer or extender that is pin compatible with the P82B96DR and would work correctly in the above configuration.
