Can TPS65982D use the host utility to update the 982D FW for docking/monitor design like TPS65982?

Hello,

Yes the TPS65982D also uses the Host Interface Tools to update the FW. To create a configuration image however, the TPS65982D uses a different application customization tool that can be found on the MySecure Software team.

I do not find the host unitility under TPS65982D Design Resources. Can you provide the link and show me how to update the 982D FW?

Hello,

You will have to use the 82DA or 82DB Config Tool that are shown at the bottom of the image that you attached. You can use the config tool in the same manner as you would use the Application Customization Tool for the TPS65982. The Config Tool would be used to create a flash image which can then be loaded to the device using the Host Interface Tool under "SPI FW Update"
