SN75LVCP601: Question regarding to Pin-to-Pin IC

Hi team,

One of our customers was used to use PI3EQX6741ST in Laptop application and we promoted pin-to-pin solution(LVCP601). The customer is interested in this IC, but we found out several pins define differently between the two IC. Please refer below. I just want to confirm that whether LVCP60 is direct replacement to PI3EQX6741ST. Thanks for your support and time.

    Hi Leroy,

    The cross reference needs review, these devices are compatible in high-speed lanes pinout, but GND and control signals may need extra work so the board can work with both devices.

    If moving from LVCP601 to PI3EQX6741ST would be pin to pin compatible loosing termination detection feature and removing resistors on pins 16 and 6

    If the customer moves from PI3EQX6741ST to LVCP601, rework would be needed to add GND to pins 3, 13 and 18, and resistors may be needed on EW1 and DEW2.
