Hope you are well. Would you be able to provide any recommendations for customer questions below:
Customer needs USB transceivers to drive a host port; looking for two parts for two different applications, a ULPI option and a asynchronous option that can be ran from a traditional data bus.
The TUSB1210 only has one USB port; customer would need two ports to be able to do a host and a device at the same time.
Using 2x TUSB1210 could cause bus contentions, while theTUSB1210 has a Chip select pin, the datasheet is not very clear on what this does, other than it puts the device in power down, and tri states the ULPI bus, which is what you want to prevent bus contention.
Customer does not see anything in the data sheet that tells him what else happens when the device is in power down, does the USB interface keep working ?
In addition, the customer does not see any interrupt output pins to let the processor knows there is data available
Customer needs clarification on what can and cant do over a ULPI bus. Need to be able to connect up two controllers, one for host and one for device hung off of the same ULPI bus, it does not seem this is possible.
