I am an in-circuit Test Engineer and I have several DS10BR150's on a new test development. Typically when testing LVDS transmitters, I drive the input digitally and make a DC voltage measurement at the output. The reason I don't use differential digital receivers to test the output is that the digital receivers are referenced to board ground. Since the Vcm has a range of 1.05 to 1.375, I wouldn't reliably be able to digitally measure the output. The input of the driver is tied to a transformer coil. If I do apply a differential voltage, it will need to be minimal due to current draw. It's hard to discern from the datasheet what the minimum allowable differential input is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
