DS125DF1610: DS125DF1610 debug with SigCon Architect and Aardvark

Part Number: DS125DF1610
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS125MB203, , DPS-DONGLE-EVM, USB2ANY

Hi,
I've just received my brand new custom board (i.e. not a TI demo board) with DS125DF1610 and DS125MB203.
Is it possible to configure the devices via the TI SigCon Architect using a  Aardvark usb/i2c/SPI?
www.totalphase.com/.../
In other words, do I need a specific usb to i2c/SPI hardware or Aardvark is ok?
www.ti.com/.../sigconarchitect says I don't need the DPS-DONGLE-EVM.
Thanks,
Freddy

  • Hi Freddy,

Unfortunately, SigCon Architect cannot be used with the Aardvark. SigCon Architect only functions with a USB2ANY interface between PC and and device. The table only shows which EVMs require a DPS-DONGLE-EVM. For EVMs where the USB2ANY circuit is not already on-board, a DPS-DONGLE-EVM is required to provide this interface. Otherwise, for EVMs where the USB2ANY circuit is on-board, no DPS-DONGLE-EVM is required. This is why the DS125DF1610 shows as not needing a DPS-DONGLE-EVM.

Since you have a custom board and not EVMs, you will need to request a DPS-DONGLE-EVM to control these devices.

    Regards,

    Michael
