DS90UB925Q-Q1: Power up sequence and leakage current from VDD33 to VDDIO

Part Number: DS90UB925Q-Q1

Hi,

I would like to know the power sequence requirement of VDD33(3.3V) and VDDIO(1.8V). There is leakage current found in customer's test.

Customer's schematic is just okay after check, and below is the power on waveform. There is VDDIO voltage in the red circuit. I have checked all possible leakage path from application around the device and no problem is found. The result shows the leakage current is from VDD33 to VDDIO internally.

1. Could you help confirm this issue?

2. For below waveform, is there any risk to VDDIO pin when there is leakage voltage?

3. What is the recommended power up sequence for VDD33 and VDDIO?

Thanks.

  • Hi Johnny,

I'm not sure whether you already received some feedback from your colleague, but I just share what I know with regards to the power sequence of DS90UB925-Q1.
As far as I know, the power sequence requirement of DS90UB925 is same as DS90UB928. This means VDDIO need to be ramped up earlier than VDD33 or at the same time. Please refer to the datasheet of DS90UB928.

I would still suggest that you wait for confirmation from TI.
    Thanks,
    Ken
