Hi support team,

My customer is interested on TSU6111A. But they have a concern about the accessories detection. They want to know if the accessory is attached and don't care about what type. But for some accessories, there is no ID signal. I went through our datasheet and found this part seems doing accessory detection through ID pin. Is this right?  if true, any other TI product can be used for the accessories detection without ID, but only with Vbus, D+/D-?

    Zhengxing,

    The BQ24392 device runs its accessory detection algorithm on the D+ and D- pins and not on the ID to determine if it is a BC 1.2 compliant charger or another accessory.  However this detection scheme is not as granular as using the ID where you can differentiate between more types of accessories.
