TUSB7340: USB 2.0 Port x Nonremovable on TUSB7340

Part Number: TUSB7340

Hello,

Regarding to the USB Control Register (bitt3-1) on TUSB7340, my customer is asking question.

According to datasheet(table.104:page56),

(USB2_PORTx_NON_REM)

USB 2.0 Port x Nonremovable. When this bit is set to 1, the TUSB73X0

forces the DR bit to 1 in the Port Status and Control Register

corresponding to USB 2.0 Port x.

It is meaning that TUSB7340 will operate as USB2.0 only regardless to USB3.0 device is connected from external.

(Disable the communication of USB3.0.)

Example;

USB2.0 (external) -> Operate USB2.0 (TUSB7340 ).
(Exchange to USB3.0 device)
USB3.0 (external) -> Operate USB2.0 (TUSB7340 ).

My understanding is correct?

Regards,
