Hi TI,

I'D like to confirm the signal detector function of the device.

When the fuction enabled, the input signal was deteriorated and failed.

Did you detect the problem ? or need a spetioal setting ?

Input signal : 4096x2160 60p 4:4:4

EVM : TMDS181RGZ

Sequence :

1. Power up

2. Pushed the reset button

3. SIG_EN pin : Switch to H level

4. Disconect a input HDMI cable

5. Connect a input cable again

The wave form are as below.

4K input signal SIG_EN:Disable

4K input signal SIG_EN:Enable

Under the signal detect circuit enabled condition, the output of the TMDS181 was failed at Eye test as bellow.

Please let me know a solution of the problem ?

Could you ask your FAE to escalate thi issue to HelpMe platform?

Hello Toshi,

As Moises indicated, this issue should be escalated to the HelpMe platform. That said, the SIG_EN input should have no effect on signal quality. The SIG_EN function merely checks for a valid input clock and if one is not received puts the device in a lower power state. How is SIG_EN controlled in this system? If it is by I2C write, can you confirm no other registers are affected?
