My customer intends to use the DS90C387A running at 5.7GBPS.
They need to determing the worse case case temperature but have problems doing that since some thermal data is missing in the datasheet.
Hope you can help here.
They use two methods for calculating.
If you can help with th missing thermal numbers I would highly appreciate
A) Temperature of no failure / brakedown
Calculates down from Tj, using worst case Pd :
Tc_max = 0.9 * (Tj_max - Rth_jc * Pd_max)
B) Temperature of functional/performance satisfaction:
Calculates up from Tamb, using Pd_func (actual Pd ):
Tc_max = Tamb_max + Rth_ca * Pd_func
