Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB320LAI
Tool/software: Linux
Hi TI Experts,
We have a major smartphone customer using TUSB320LI in their new smartphone. Customer encountered an issue with TUSB320LI, they find the ID pin is vounerable to interferences. It can be very hard to correctly read the ID value when the smartphone is charging or plugged into a computer usb port.
Customer tried to replace TUSB320LI with TUSB320LAI, and the issue is solved. But they need to know why, so do you know what the differences between the two parts? I checked the Datasheet, and found the Current consumption in unattached mode when port is unconnected and waiting for connection is different, the TUSB320LI is 100uA typical, TUSB320LAI is 70uA.
But it seems not to be able to answer the question. In my Opinion, the higher the current consumption goes, the more robust the chip becomes.
Please give some hint. Thanks in advance.
