It looks like adding the link cut the rest of my message completely off. The question was: Can I use the same approach for gigabit ethernet? Basically, add resistors and capacitors as shown in the paper to not have to add magnetics. Thanks!

Hi Juan,

We do not have a transformerless (magneticless) reference design for 1G PHY operation.
Currently, we only have transformerless designs for 10/100Mbps.
