HD3SS3415: PCIe and GPIO signals switch

Hi Team,

customer is looking for the signal switch for switching the PCIe and GPIO(3.3V) signals, can you please advise if the HD3SS3412/3415 is capable for this kind of application or do you have any suggestion device to support this application? Thanks.

Hello,
Both the 3412 and 3415 support PCIe switching, however they don't support 3.3V signal switching, the only one-chip solution I can think of is the HD3SS6126 which can switch USB3.0 and USB2.0 signals, in this way you can have two GPIO switched at the same time.

Hi Team,

customer feedback that the HD3SS6126 is not match to their application design.

On the other side, customer wants to check product team to see if they add some voltage level shift like attached block diagram, do you think is it feasible or not? Please advise. Thanks.

Hello,
I am not familiar with those level translators, but if they meet the recommended levels specified on the 3412's datasheet than that should work.
They should use one MUX for the I2C and other mux for the "LED" signal.
