DS25BR440: Equalization Level and Pre-emphasis Level at 625MHz

Hi team,

My customer is considering whether DS25BR440 can be used for his 1.25Gbps system .
So the customer wants to know the Equalization Level and Pre-emphasis Level at 625MHz.

If you have the data, plese let me know.

    Unfortunately, I am unable to locate data for this. The programmed EQ and pre-emphasis level should be tuned by the customer for the best signal integrity.

    The amount of EQ and pre-emphasis is dependent on the amount of media that is present before and after the DS25BR440. If there is low insertion loss between the source and the DS25BR440 input, then EQ can be turned off. If there is low insertion loss between the DS25BR440 output and the receiver, then pre-emphasis can also be turned off.

    Hi Fumio,

    The amount of equalization to add to the signal will be determined by the amount of loss or attenuation in the system channels.  The  DS25BR440 Rx and Tx equalization will function at 625 MHz.
