DP83822I: Accuracy of clock output

Hello,

DP83822 has clock output function.
I want to confirm frequecny accuracy of Free Running clock output(125MHz).
I think this clock is generated from internal PLL and the accuracy is completely the same as input clock accuracy.

Is this my understanding correct?

Hi Oba,

The 125MHz free running clock is really intended for debug purposes.
Its accuracy will be that of the reference clock.
May I ask what you plan to use the 125MHz for?

I'm going to tail onto this question.

Can the 125-MHz output reference clock be used to clock a MAC 125-MHz input clock?

Is there a way to power up the device to automatically output the 125-MHz clock on any 1 of the 3 possible pins (RX_D3/GPIO_3, LED_1/GPIO_1, or COL/GPIO_2)?

What are the rise/fall time min/max of the reference output clock output?

Hi Matt,

To output a clock you will need to use register access.
The clock should have rise/fall times around 1-2ns.
