DP83848K: Power dissipation and operating Tj

About DP83848K, please let me know about condition and background for power dissipation by datasheet page-10 (264mW).

①Is there condition for 264mW spec?

②Pd is fluctuate by operating condition for example AN-1540 application note.

　On any condition, Pd will increase 264mW and over the Ta.

　I think that however temp is over the Ta, but operating Tj is 125℃ and DP83848K will not over 125℃ in any condition, it is normal operation.

　Is it correct?

　If there the other background, please let me know.

    Hi Satoshi-san,

    1. The 264mW spec comes from the 100base-tx, data, 25C, VCC=3.0V condition.

    2. Pd does fluctuate based on all the conditions described in AN-1540, yes. Typically Pd will be above 264mW during active data modes.
    Yes you are correct that Tj is 125C and under no conditions of Ta or Pd will the Tj go over 125C
