TCAN1042-Q1: About SAE J1939 plotocol

Can we use TCAN1042-Q1, when we use SFA J1939 plotocol?

SN65HVD1050-Q1 datasheet was wrote "SAE J2284 High-Speed CAN for Automotive Applications".
However, TCAN1042-Q1 datasheet wasn't write it.

    Is SFA correct or did you mean SAE 1939? I did a quick google search and did not see anything around SFA 1939 and I do not believe I have ever heard of this before. Please correct me if I am wrong and try to provide me some literature around the SFA spec so I can check for compliance. If it is the SAE 1939 spec you are referring to then depending on the type of J1939 you need we may be complaint. There are a few different physical layer specs:

    J1939-11: 250 kbps, shielded twisted pair
    TCAN1042 does not meet this because there is a minimum rise time of 200 ns, which is too slow for our part. The TCAN10xx parts are designed to meet the CAN FD (ISO 11898-2 2016) requirements and 200ns is to slow for this requirement. The HVD251 (with slope control) is compliant to this though and is recommended.
    J1939-14: 500 kbps, shielded or unshielded twisted pair
    TCAN1042 is compliant.
    J1939-15: 250 kbps, unshielded twisted pair
    I don’t believe TCAN1042 is compliant, but I’m not 100% sure. This spec also has the 200 ns minimum rise/fall time but includes a disclaimer that faster rise/fall times can be accepted as long as EMI is equivalent to slower solutions.
