DP83867E: DP83867 - I/O powerdown during operation okay?

I am using the two supply mode, and I have a 1.8V I/O on this part. I have an application where the I/O needs to power down and I want to know if powering down the I/O voltage will potentially damage the part?

There is no power sequencing required in two supply mode, so I take this to mean that I/O votlage bring-up/down timing is not relevant.

Hi Trevor,

You are correct that you can bring IO down at any time and not damage the part. There is no sequencing requirement for the VDDIO rail.

When you bring down your VDDIO, you will reset the control registers so you should perform a reset and reconfiguration of the part when you are bringing the IO up and down.
