TUSB2046B: TUSB2046B driver and communication

Hi,

Customer is adopting TUSB2046B for their application.

There are 2 connections. one is device through CP2104 and other is ATMEL MCU and USB to serial converter algorithm is in its firmware.

communication with device through CP2104 is normally operated

In case ATMEL MCU, driver recognition is ok but there's communication error.

In this case, ATMEL MCU goes to BOOT mode.

1. Customer checked to ATMEL, MCU goes to boot mode when it connected to OS using Ubuntu Linux.

Does TUSB2046B work based on Ubuntu Linux os?

2. In above case, customer remove ATMEL MCU and connected other device but it is not recognized.

Could you advise for this issue?

    Hello David,

    The TUSB2046B just requires a generic hub driver. Any operating system (Microsoft, MAC, Linux, etc.) that has native USB stack support should include a HUB driver as part of that stack.  No special drivers are required to support the TUSb2036 in those operating systems.

    I have one comment based on your schematics:

    All the DP and DM signals, used and unused, should be tied to ground with 15K resistors.
