Hi all
Would you mind if we ask DS25BR100?
There is the description "Medium (Approx. 8 dB at 1.56 GHz)" on the datasheet P2.
In case of datarate=3.0GHz, is it possible to equalize with 8dB?
Kind regards,
Hirotaka Matsumoto

Hi Hirotaka,
The DS25BR100 CTLE gain is typical ~ 8 dB @ 1.56 GHz. This is equal to 8 dB of gain for a 3.125 Gbps data stream since the nyquist frequency of the 3.125 Gbps data is 1.56 GHz.
The CTLE works across a relatively broad range of datarates - from approximately 1 Gbps up to the maximum 3.125 Gbps. At the lower data rates near 1 Gbps, the CTLE gain will be less than 8 dB.
For your case with a 3.0 Gbps data rate, the CTLE will provide ~ 8 dB of gain

Lee

Thank you for your reply!!
We are sorry that we misunderstand the denomination between bps and Hz.
OK, we got it.
