DS15BR401: The duration of pre-emphasis.

Hello,

 

Regarding to the pre-emphasis on DS15BR401, my customer is asking a question.

･On the duration of pre-emphasis(below), is it set as a specification?

My understand is that it is 1 bit(data rate) of transfer data.

My understand is correct?

    Hi Tao,

    The DS15BR401 de-emphasis is set as an analog decay.  It is not timed by the data pattern.

    The total decay time will span several bits (approximately 1.5ns) at the maximum data rate.  At lower data rates this decay will remain at ~ 1.5ns.
