Hi,

My customer is using SN65LVPE502A with topology as below. What would be the EQ setting suggested here as a start?

Main Board: about 20 inch

Cable: about 1.2m

Daughter Borad: about 2 inch

Hi Antony,

We no longer recommend LVPE502 or LVPE512, please move to TUSB522p.
I guess TUSB522p will be placed on MB close to the connector.
EQ from MB = 6dB
EQ from DB = 9dB

I'm persuading customer to use TUSB522 now, but they already have the board back. Do you have a guide regarding how to rework the board from SN65LVPE502A to TUSB522?

Based on the SN65LVPE502A board, their topology is as below and SN65LVPE502A iis placed closed to the connector on MB as below. What would be the EQ setting you suggestied?

MB: about 20 inch

Cable: about 1.2m

Daughter Borad: about 2 inch

Hi Antony,

In TUSB522P product page under technical documents tab, there is an application note SN65LVPE502A to TUSB522P Change Document.

As a starting point they can try:

EQ from MB = 6dB
EQ from DB = 9dB
