DS90UB913A-CXEVM: Leds not ON (serializer evm)

Hello,

We are trying to create a pass through output for our camera system.

i. From image sensor -> Deserializer DS90UB914A-CXEVM through the coaxial power cable


ii. From DS90UB914A-CXEVM to DS90UB913A-CXEVM through ribbon cables.



iii. From DS90UB913A-CXEVM to camera link -> mini camera link -> PCI

We dont see any of the LEDS that are turned on in the DS90UB913A-CXEVM.

Can you please tell us how to check if the serializer EVM is functioning correctly or not?

    Have you followed the troubleshooting guidelines outlined in the user's guide? www.ti.com/.../snlu135b.pdf

    1. Check power supply polarity.
    2. Check to make sure there is sufficient current (300 mA) by checking that the voltage (5 V) is correct
    using DMM.
    3. Check to make sure there is a FPD-Link III signal by probing on both C16 AND C19 on SER board and
    C6 AND C7 on DES board.
    4. Monitor the LOCK signal at pin 4 (pin 3 is GND) of connector JP2 using oscilloscope on DES board.
    Do not rely on visual inspection of D2 (Lock LED) present on deserializer board.
    5. With no PCLK input applied on SER board, PCLK output frequency on DES board should be 50MHz
    6. Go back to Figure 1-2 & Figure 1-3 to double check factory settings.

    You can also use an Analog Launch Pad utility with an appropriate USB to I2C device, such as a USB2ANY, in order to read the status registers of the 913.
