Part Number: TUSB211

Hi Sir

we want have USB2.0 type A 20m cable project, and we have some question as below:

1. May we know the TUSB211 insertion loss is?

2. May TUSB211 can series to use? we plan 2 stages. is it ok(or may you have other suggestion?)? what location suit to place?

  • Hello Bogey,

        20m is a long cable and may have DC loss issues. the TUSB211 is designed to improve the slew rate but it does not compensate the DC level. I suggest to reconsider and take into account the use of one USB HUB and at least two TUSB211.

    Regards,

    Diego.

  • Hi Diego

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    The customer is cable vender so they will not have hub. about Vbus power, we suggestion it can be powerd from device side or additional DC adapter in device side Vbus.

    So for 20M USB cable we may "HOST" + TUSB211=>10M cable + TUSB211 + 10M Cable + TUSB211(Adapter DC in Vbus).

    Is it ok? or something we need notice?

  • Hello Chen,

        The configuration is worth to try. I am only concerned about the DC loss on the D+ D- lines but I think it is possible.

    Regards,

    Diego.
