Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TCA9517A?

Our customer is looking for Hot Swappable 2-Wire Bus Buffers like as TCA4311A.
Does TCA9517A correspond to the function "Hot Swappable 2-Wire Bus Buffers"?

    Hello Matsumoto-san,

    The TCA4311A is the only true "Hot Swappable" buffer we have.  It has had logic that prevents SDA/SCL lines from being connected until a stop command or bus idle occurs.  It also has 1V pre-charge on SDA/SCL to minimize inrush currents when hot plugged.  The TCA9517A doesn't have any of that. 

    On the other hand, there are plenty of customers that have used the TCA9517A in hot plug applications with success.  It does mean that the system level designers might have to take greater care in implementing their systems.
