TPS65982: DEBUG1-4 use case

Part Number: TPS65982

Hi Team,

My customer would like to know that they can utilize DEBUG1-4 pins as just GPIO. Are there any concerns in that use case?

If possible, I would like to know how these DEBUG pins are used for. Are there any documents indicated that points?
I didin't image well how to use the pins from its datasheet explanations.

Regards,

Takashi Onawa

  • Hi Onawa-san,

The debug 1-4 pins are just used for GPIOs. However, there are also Debug_CTL pins that are used to set the I2C address of the device. At power-up, the Debug_CTL pin state is sensed to determine the corresponding bit value of the I2C address.

    Thank you,
    Eric
