TUSB2077A: Linux driver on ubuntu environment

Hello,

Does TUSB2077A need linux driver? Customer use this device but that not access this device on their ubuntu environment. How can we check this device under normal operation? Upstream port is needed to input TUSB2077A for configuration? Thank you.

Hello Patrick,

The TUSB2077A just requires a generic hub driver. Any operating system (Microsoft, MAC, Linux, etc.) that has native USB stack support should include a HUB driver as part of that stack. No special drivers are required to support the TUSB2077A in those operating systems.

If the customer is having issues to get the hub enumerated we can check the schematics to discard any problem with the device setup.

Hello Patrick,

For the downstream ports, the DP and DM signals of both unused and used ports should be tied to ground with 15K resistors like the pull-downs used on the active ports.

Unused OVRCUR terminals should be tied to Vcc.
