DS80PCI800: How to build EEPROM Hex file by Sigcon Architect

Hello:

My customer used DS80PCI800 for PCIE repeater, they selected SMbus master mode, but don't know how to build the EEPROM hex file.

I try to use Sigcon Architect tools to build the hex fire.I don't have EVM, and I selected DEMO mode, in the EEPROM page, but I don't know how to changer the register values of Major channel settings, so I can't get the right hex file also.

Can you tell me how to use Sigcon Architect? If there are other methods to build hex file? Thanks!

Hi Jianyang,

Here is the process to Write an EEPROM file in Demo Mode.

1. Start GUI

2. Click DS80PCI800 - Configuration Tab

3. Click "Apply" button on upper right of window

4. Use "Repeater Page" Tab to configure DS80PCI800

a. Select desired EQ/DEM/VOD settings - make sure to Click "Apply to Channel" or "Apply to All Channels" for each selection

5. Goto "EEPROM Page"

6. Click "Update Slot From Device

a. This will load the settings from the "Repeater Page" into the EEPROM Page

7. You should now see the updated EEPROM Data on the right side of page.

8 Click "Write to EEPROM Hex" to create file.
