SN65LVDS324: Compatible serialiser OR HDMI transmitter

Part Number: SN65LVDS324

Hello,

I would like to use SN65LVDS324 in my design, to interface with a HiSPI camera. All good. However I also need to be able to interface with a generic 16 bit YUV parallel interface. What chips can I use to convert a parallel input to HiSPI, Sony or Panasonic LVDS? If none, are there better alternatives you can suggest when wanting to use a single LVDS receiver with parallel output (to interface with a Davinci) and multiple LVDS input chains, like HDMI and camera?

Thank you.

  • Hi Giovanni,

SN65LVDS324 bridge is exclusively supports SubLVDS inputs from Sony, Panasonic, and Aptina HiSPi. TI doesn’t make the companion transceiver chip for SN65LVDS324. You may need to look for the device that converts parallel input to HiSPi from Aptina (ON Semi now)

TI has device converts the parallel 8-bit data to MIPI CSI. However it has different interface protocol than HiSPi that you are looking for.

    Thanks,
    Dennis
