SN65DP141: TX side and RX side setting

Hi Expert,

I saw the datasheet mention about DP141 could be TX side and RX side re-driver. My customer used it in TX side for 5m cable, but my customer got the error bit in GPIO mode.

Do you have suggestion I2C setting for the application? BTW, does the "DRV_PEAK" is the pre-emphasis function? Thanks!

Hi Jerry,

This device doesn't have pre-emphasis, it is a linear redriver.
Do you have eye-diagrams we can review?
For DP1.3/1.4 we are recommending TUSB546-DCI instead of DP141.

Hi Jerry,

You could increase Tx gain, I would need eye diagrams to debug the issue.
The problem may be jitter, skew, or x-talk that come from the layout.
Could you share schematic and layout for review?
