Hi, Team,

Is it possible to reject non PD source device when a system is in dead battery mode?

A customer want to disable PP_EXT path in dead battery when non PD device is connected. (BUSPOWERZ=GND)

Hi Yone-san,

In Dead Battery Mode, the device will either close PP_HV when BUSPOWERZ = 0.8-2.4V, will close PP_EXT when BUSPOWERZ = <0.8V, or close no switch when BUSPOWERZ= >2.4V. When the TPS65982 sees 5V on VBUS, it will load the boot code and close the switch depending on the pin strapping of BUSPOWERZ. There is no logic to see if there is a PD Device sourcing VBUS or not.
