DS90UB964-Q1: DS90UB964 YUV422 8bit

Part Number: DS90UB964-Q1

Dear Sir

I saw DS90UB964 could be set to YUV mode

But I don't see any description in 964 datasheet ,

Below is in DS90UH940 , May I know which register can be program in DS90UB964??

  • Kai,

The DS90UB964 can operate in RAW12 HF, RAW12 LF, and RAW10 modes.  Use Mode pin to selected between the available modes.  Use RAW10_8BIT_CTL field (Register 0x7C) to enable RAW8 support as well.

When in one of the RAW12 modes, use RAW12_DT (Register 0x71), to set the CSI data type.

When in the RAW10 mode, use RAW10_DT (Register 0x70), to set the CSI data type.

The data types are given in MIPI CSI spec.

    Regards,

    Davor

  • Dear Davor

    Thanks for your reply

But I would like to make sure

    In DS90UB964 ,RAW10_8bit = YUV422 8bit ??

Due to in DS90UH940 ,the RAW10 or RAW8 or YUV422_8 is different setting as above figure

  • Hi Kai,

An attachment did not stick with my previous post (see below now).  It details various CSI data types and corresponding Data Type codes that need to be set in the DS90UB964 registers I listed in my previous post.

    For YUV422 8-bit, set RAW10_DT field ('964 Register 0x70) to 0x1E and adjust RAW10_8BIT_CTL field ('964 Register 0x7C) accordingly.
