My customer would like to use the TUSB8041 on the robot application. And they have questions on how to set the charger and current limit function on pin 40/41/42/45.
The conditions from customer
1. The downstream USB port does not support charger
2. The downstream USB port does not support current limit function.
3. Ony for USB3.0 data function.
4. PWRCTL1/BATEN1~ PWRCTL4/BATEN4 are floating now.
5. OVERCUR1Z~ OVERCUR4Z pull high to 3.3V now
Questions:
1. Can customer use the SMBUS to control the TUSB8041 driving capbility? Or need to use the USB redriver?
2. Could you please suggest the pin 40/41/42/45 setting based on customer request?
