Please help me.

Datasheet P.7 says as follows.

[5.2 ESD Ratings]
Human-body model (HBM), per ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001(1)
■All pins: ±3000V
■Differential Out pins(TD+,TD-, RD+, RD-): ±16000V

Why do both have different ESD ratings?
Do differential pins have special improvements?

My customer says that almost competitor's ICs are unified.

Hi Ryuji,

The differential pins are the cable facing pins (MDI).
They can be exposed to much higher ESD events than the digital pins.

Because of this exposure, the silicon is designed with larger ESD structures on the MDI than on the digital pins.

This is why there are different ESD ratings depending on the pin.

Additionally, I do not see many competitors with the level of ESD rating we support.
Our devices are designed to withstand harsher environments.
