SN65DSI84: Supported Output LVDS formats

Part Number: SN65DSI84

Hi there,

I want to know about all dual-link LVDS output formats supported by SN65DSI84.

The display  which we have supports attached pattern.

And also please confirm if  SN65DSI84 is suitable for converting  1080x1920p @60 fps  from 4-lane DSI to dual-link LVDS.

Please let us know if TI recommends any other bridge chip for this application?

    Hello Nimesh,

    The supported formats are stated in the SN65DSI84's datasheet in section 7.4.3.

    It seems that your panels is not a OpenLDI standard panel. Could you share the panel datasheet?

    Yes, this device is suitable for a 1080x1920p @60 fps resolution in single input to dual output mode.

    Hi Joel,
    The datasheet shows only single pattern for dual output mode and says that it supports other patterns also, from where i can get that?
    As of now i can not share you the datasheet, i will do it after some time.
    It would be great if you can further help me out here.

    Hello Nimesh,
    There is only one mode available for LVDS test pattern(color bars) in the DSI84. In the other hand, the DSI85 supports three modes for test pattern. It is a error in the DSI84 datasheet where it mentions that more than one mode is supported.
