DP83867E: CAT5 performance rated connector usage for 1GbE application.

Hi,

I am currently involved in design of 1Gb Ethernet port for one of our application,went through the reference design in snlu209 app note and found CAT5 performance rated LAN connector J18(1-406541-1) is used.

Need some clarification on, whether CAT5 rated LAN connector is sufficient  for 1Gb Ethernet interface application?.
