tlk105: TX_CLK in RMII mode

Part Number: TLK105

Hi,

It is stated TX_CLK is unused in RMII mode, but I still measured it output a 25MHz clock. Is it a normal operation?

Another question is what is the difference between TLK105 and TLK105L?

Thanks.

  • Hi Di,

This is not an issue. If you want to confirm RMII operation though, you can read register 0x17h to confirm RMII operation.
Additionally, when receiving data you should only see RX_D[1:0] toggling.

The difference between TLK105 and TLK105L is that the TLK105L support 1588 SFD.

    Kind regards,
    Ross
