I see the term of max pkg power capacity in datahset. Can you explan the definition of max pkg power capacity? Is it different from max power dissipation?

    Hi Sam,

    Yes the maximum power capacity of the package is based on thermal testing at 25C.  In this case 4.16W could be dissipated by the package/device combination when the ambient temperature is 25C and the device junction temperation would be at the absolute maximum allowed (150C).

    The maximum power dissipation is the most that the device will actually dissipate in normal operation.
