SPI I/O expender

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIC12400

Hi Team,

I know we have IIC IO expander. http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/interface/i2c-io-expander-products.page

While, do we have a SPI IO expander with 8/16bit as well, please?

Look forward to your feedback, thanks!

regards,

Bell

  • Hello Bell,
Unfortunately, we don't have a traditional IO expander that uses SPI. Can you communicate with Kaitlyn Mazzarella about the application, use case, and business case. We are always trying to learn about what the industry is doing, why, and the business case and when we find a good business case we look at developing new products.

MSS has a new SPI part coming out soon that is a contact monitoring device for automotive applications that might be able to be used as an IO expander. Part number is TIC10024 and TIC12400.

I have notified that group of the post.

  • Hi Francis,

I don't have much details of the application scenario. It's a project doing DOCSIS cable infrastructure.
Will try to understand more from ctm. Thanks a lot for your information!

    regards,
    Bell
