DS90UB940-Q1: MIPI in RAW10 mode

Part Number: DS90UB940-Q1

Hi Team,

Please advise me the following subject.

I am configuring DS90UB940 in RAW10 mode instead of the default RGB888.

Under this configuration, I measured the MIPI clock.
It was 7 times of the PCLK as stated on the datasheet.

However, I suspect that the MIPI clock should be 2.5 time of the PCLK.
Because in RGB888 mode 28 bit including four stuffing bits are serialized and
sent over two MIPI data lanes.
The 28 bits stream are divided into two 14 bit stream. The MIPI hire DDR.
So, the clock is half of 14 time, concluding 7 times.

When RAW 10 is sterilized, two MIP data lanes transfer 5 bit stream in one PCLK period.
The DDR clock should be 2.5 times of PCLK.

Do you think my though isn’t correct?
If so, can you explain who the RAW 10 data are treated with 7 times of PCLK?

I appreciate your prompt feedback.

Mita
