Can you please help me out the right part selection for this USB type – c

we intend to use it for USB3.0 devices also . If so, please find our requirements for Type-C below.

USB CC & PD controller with USB2.0 signal switch
UFP/DFP/DRD data role
5V/3A sink only power role

please share your suggestions and let us know the best-fit part for our application.

Is the spi flash a compulsory memory for the device TPS65986 to boot up and configure,

Can it be used as a standalone device without the SPI flash memory

Hi Shreenidhi,

The TPS65986 will be a good device for your application. If you would rather design using an 8x8mm QFN than the TPS65981 is a good part.
The SPI flash is required to boot up and configure the TPS65986 device. The device cannot be used without a flash.

is the Aardvark SPI Programmer / any other specific debugger hardware intended for TPS6598x debugging compulsory or can we do it without buying one of this SPI programmer ?
