Hi,

Although it is described in the data sheet of TUSB9261 - Q1 that the firmware is loaded from

the external FLASH MEMORY into the local RAM, can it be loaded from the SPI built - in SoC instead of the FLASH MEMORY?

Also, in case it is impossible, what is the reason?

Hello,

yes it can be done but you need to note hte following point, the TUSB9261 always will try to ready the firmware from address 0x00 at the startup and you SPI SoC will need to soport the following commands.

I understood that firmware can be loaded from SoC instead of Flash memory.

If you have documentation of detailed implementation manual(including instructions for sending commands) on loading of farmware from SoC,Would you please attached it to this E2E ?

You can use the TUSB9260 Flash Burner - User Guide (Rev. D) for the burn process, please let me know if this is what you are looking for? if not, could you please elaborate a little more our request?

Mr. Roberto,

Thank you very much for your reply.

While talking to my customer, the SoC needs to communicate as a master
with other devices using the SPI, and they need to change the slave
when communicating with TUSB9261, so they decide to use SPI FLASH.
