Dear all,

Could you teach about adoption example of this device?

In the majority of cases, is this device used on both main board and sub board? or used on one side only?

How long does this device be used over?

    Hi

    This device is commonly used in PCI Express applications between a "host" and "endpoint" or "switch".  We recommend to place a single DS80PCI102 in the link, using multiple DS80PCI102 devices in series can make the signal tuning or programming very difficult.

    In general the device is installed on a sub-board, but placement on the main-board is possible.

    The DS80PCI102 can be used to help compensate PCIe links with ~ 30 dB of attenuation.  For PCIe Gen3 running at 8 Gbps this can be over 30 inches of FR4.
