DS100KR800: Pin-compatible products about "Re-timer"

Hi,

My customer is considering to use DS100KR800.

But in case of lack of preformance, they would like to prepare backup solution of DS100KR800, "Retimer".

Will you tell me the "Retimer" products which can replace DS100KR800, if possible, pin-compatible products?

    Hi Takumi,

    There are no retimer products which are pin compatible to the DS100KR800 package design.  There is a 4 channel retimer (DS110DF410) which can work at the 10.3125 Gbps datarate, however it is not protocol aware of the 10G-KR data pattern and will not support link training.

    The DS125BR820 is pin compatible with the DS100KR800.  The DS125BR820 is a linear equalizer which can work better than the DS100KR800 when the repeater must be placed close to the 10G-KR Tx.
