TUSB1310A: transmission performance and used cable

Part Number: TUSB1310A

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering TUSB1310A has a question.

Could you please advise?

---question

According to the datasheet  it describes "– Supports 3+ Meters USB 3.0 Cable Length"

What type of cable is used for this performance achieved?

Also I'd like to know limit length, the setting of related resister, error rate and other.

If you have a report about it, please send me.

---

I appreciate your great help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Dear all,

This is just a reminder that I’m waiting for your reply.

    I appreciate your great help.

    Best regards,
    Shinichi
  • Hello Shinichi1,

The supported USB 3.0 3M+ cable length would apply to any USB 3.0 cable that meets the requirements of the USB 3.0 specification and has a valid USB compliance logo. For USB electrical compliance testing, there is a 3M cable that is part of the test setup that is provided by the test equipment manufacturer but it is not a specially designed cable, it is just a good quality one.

    JMMN
  • Hi JMMN

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand the cable is popular one.

Could you please explain it in more detail.

    ----

    (1) What is the individual model name of the cable used for the test?

I think a cable specification is different from each cable even though it has USB logo.

    (2) Could I confirm the data at the test. I'd like to see the report from test equipment and waveform.

I appreciate your great help and cooperation.

    Best regards,

    Shinichi

  • Hello Shinichi,

You could use the Qualtek 3023027-03M USB3.0 cable.

Regarding the test at 3.0m length we currently have not that information.

    Regards,
    Gerardo
