    Hello Anthony,

    For MDI we recommend keeping the traces as short as possible with 100ohm differential impedance. Max length is not a part of specification but I would recommend keeping the combined length less than 4 inches. This is the total length from PHY to RJ45 connector, including discrete magnetics. Please note that increasing the trace length or changing the impedance from 100ohms can affect signal integrity.
    For the MAC interface, the traces should be less than 6 inches for GMII and RGMII. SGMII can be up to 18 inches.
