DS110DF111EVM: DS110DF111EVM:

Part Number: DS110DF111EVM

Hello

My name is Bilal I want to use re-timer DS110DF111EVM as Limiting Amp. It seems like I am not able avoid some fix operations/properties of DS110DF111EVM. I am using this path mentioned below

TI Re-timer do not mirror expected signal at its output. It receives the signal from Pattern generator and it eliminates all the ISI (intersymbol interference) and SI (sinusoidal interference) (which was injected between Pattern generator and input of Re-timer). It seems like it uses the recovered clock from the signal.

I am using channel A of DS110DF111EVM and using "Sigcon Architect EVM GUI" to control the Re-timer.

Steps which I am doing in Sigcon Architect are:

after connecting with DS110DF111EVM go to "High Level Page"

Then go to "Tx Control/PRBS generator" Tab

Then select "RAW Data" as Output signal

Then click "Apply to Channel"

Can you please guide me if I am doing something wrong or missing something.

Thanks

Best regards

Bilal

  • Hi Bilal,

The steps you are taking seem to be correct.

Please go to the "Low Level Page" and look at channel register 0x09.  It should read 20'h.  A 1'b in bit[5] allows the user to override retimed data and get raw data.  Also confirm that the value in channel register 0x1E[7:5] = 000'b for raw data.

    Regards,

    Lee
