TPS2546: Ipad is not supported.

Hi,

1. which iPad did you test ?  iPad2, iPad air or iPad4 ?

2. which mode did TPS2546 work in ?  SDP, CDP or DCP ?

3. was ipad powered off or powered on when you test it ?

4. can you capture some waveforms ? (VBUS, D+, D-, Iout)

1. I tested IPad2, Iphone 7 and 7 plus

2. I have it set up for CDP mode (CTL1, CTL2, CTL3 = 1, ILIM = 1).

3. IPad was powered ON while testing.

4. waveforms are attached below:

But my existing configuration supports IPhone 6S. Data line waveform is attached below

Blue - Data +

Yellow - Data -

Hi,

The first waveform is SDP not CDP.  the second waveform is CDP. Please double check the CTL1/2/3 and ILIM_SEL pins voltage.

My circuit is configured for CDP mode, why is it changing to SDP? Is it possible that auto switch between CDP and SDP is happening (as explained under 9.1.2 in the datasheet)?

On trying out the circuit in DCP mode, all devices seem to be charging. If that is the case, why should I not switch to DCP mode?
